Total Hospitality Solutions has been a seed waiting to grow for three years now, but ultimately a developing idea over 20 years. From 2016, onwards we are proud to say that each year we have a bigger list of returning and new clients.

Ben first started in hospitality from a very young age, as grandparents owned Brighton based Goldsmith Catering some 20 plus years on, having worked in some great businesses’ across Restaurants, pubs, contract catering hotels, Production sites and retail, winning a few local awards.
Ben moved into a new direction as Operations manager at The Hungry Guest, overseeing a multisite retail, café, production business.
After this Ben was head hunted by Nigel Lambe and Luke Johnson’s Small Batch Coffee to act as Head of Food, before going it alone and creating Total Hospitality Solutions in its infancy – within the last 3 years having worked with some great people and brands, Total Hospitality Solutions is moving from strength to strength
Matt has been working in kitchens for the last 20 years, with experience in some of the best in the country. Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Midsummer House and The Vineyard to name a few.
In 2008, Matt opened The Pass at South Lodge Hotel. A contemporary restaurant set in the heart of the hotels Kitchen. In 2011, The Pass was awarded a Michelin star, and featured highly in national guide books and awards.
In 2016, Matt turned the stoves off for the last time at The Pass and headed to Brighton, to relaunch Red Roaster. One of the oldest Specialty coffee brands in the country, the take oversaw a complete rebrand of the coffee and refurbishment of the café. An evening Restaurant offer was also implemented, called Pike & Pine.
2018 saw Matt introduce Electro Pirate. A casual offering which popped up at The Foresters Arms in Horsham for almost a year. A full version of this is in the pipeline.
Matt also set up his own company Random Precision Collective for pop ups, demonstrations.
Matt’s new Restaurant, Heritage, in Slaugham West Sussex is due to open in the Summer 2019.
In addition to all of this, Matt has appeared on BBC’s Great British Menu, Saturday Kitchen and Yes Chef, and will be releasing his first book in Spring/Summer 2020.
